Career events

Meet us at one of our upcoming events

All the great minds of our time have one thing in common: They have to eat something now and then.

Unknown thinker

think-cell takes this need very seriously, which is why it came up with the EAT++ series of career events. We regularly invite computer science students to talk over a meal in a relaxed atmosphere. We also support conferences on C++, Artificial Intelligence and Computer Graphics and give technical talks or complete technical courses on topics our developers know by heart.

We decided to do this, because we are constantly on the lookout for new software developers. We are very interested in emerging talent and will be happy to stay in touch with you over the longer term. Even if you have no specific plans for your professional future, we would still like to get to know you. And we think we can do that best when meeting in a relaxed, informal atmosphere.

IKOM at TU Munich, Germany
June 25, 2024

We are happy to share our participation in the IKOM Career Forum on June 25 this year at the Technical University of Munich (TUM)! We are no strangers to TUM, as we have been there previously with our EAT++ lecture and at Summer Parties, but this will be think-cell’s first time at the IKOM Fair.

TUM has again been named a University of Excellence and is thus the only technical university in Germany to continuously retain this status since 2006. Their Department of Computer Science in the School of Computation, Information and Technology is one of the largest teaching and research institutions for Informatics in the country.

Our own team, with HR team members and Software Developers, will be present with a booth at IKOM to discuss with the participants the exciting career opportunities available at think-cell, including our C++ Developer position and C++ Internship with an option to write your academic thesis with us.

Make sure to stop by to network with C++ experts and learn more about the benefits think-cell offers, such as our competitive salaries, flexible working hours, relocation assistance, and the chance to collaborate with an international team of brilliant minds.

We will be also organizing a raffle with an array of useful branded gifts and snacks so no one will leave think-cell’s booth empty-handed.

We are looking forward to meeting you on June 25, 2024!

C++ Lecture at Humboldt University in Berlin, Germany
May 30, 2024

On May 30, 2024, we are thrilled to return to Humboldt University in Berlin (HU Berlin), where it is ranked 87th in the world and fourth in Germany. This is our sixth visit to HU Berlin and this time we are bringing something unique.

Our Software Engineer, Jonathan Müller, will serve as a guest lecturer on “A Deep Dive into Dispatching Techniques” as a part of the "Programming in C" lecture in the Department of Computer Science. Jonathan will cover everything from simple switch statements to jump tables and computed goto, with insights into performance analysis tools, assembly, and implications of CPU design.

The lecture will take place from 3:00 pm until 4:30 pm in the Johann-von-Neumann-Haus (Rudower Chaussee 25, 12489 Berlin) in Room 3.001. While the presentation will be delivered in German, the slides will be in English. Q&A sessions can accommodate both English and German.

For those interested, we encourage you to register here and submit your questions in advance, as the lecture is free and will be attended by 80 students and around 100 external attendees. Your questions will help make the session more fruitful and engaging.

Additionally, Yik from our HR team will also be there to answer questions regarding our innovative work environment, opportunities to join our international team, and the tailor-made application process for C++ Developer and C++ Internship positions.

We hope attendees will learn about optimization techniques.

We look forward to returning to HU Berlin on May 30, 2024!

konaktiva at TU Darmstadt, Germany
May 14, 2024

We are happy to report that we will be attending the konaktiva career fair on May 14, 2024!

The konaktiva, hosted at the renowned Technical University of Darmstadt (TU Darmstadt), is one of the oldest and largest student-organized business contact fairs in Germany. Since its opening in 1877, TU Darmstadt has been one of Germany’s most international universities. Furthermore, its Department of Computer Science, founded in 1972, is one of the very first faculties of its kind in the country.

Our own Software Developer, Jonathan, will give a talk 'Fun with C and C++ syntax' for all interested attendees, where he'll explore weird switch statements, unorthodox and unreadable declarations, and have a bit of fun with function pointers. Participants will also learn about some of the philosophies behind C's syntax choices and how C++ breaks them completely.

Our team, consisting of Julia, Anastasia, and Sorina from HR, will be there to discuss our C++ Developer roles among others, as well as the possibilities for C++ internship. We will answer questions and share all the benefits that think-cell offers, such as a competitive salary, flexible working hours, support for relocation, and an international team of brilliant minds, just to name a few. We will also have a raffle with many snacks and useful goodies.

We are looking forward to meeting everyone on May 14, 2024!
